A Personalized Photobook

Today I spent a few hours making an awesome photobook with photos of one of my favorite little dudes. Shutterfly was pretty quick at uploading my photos to their page and it was fun to tweek and personalize ever page. It took me a few hours because I am a bit of a perfectionist and I didn't want to stop until I had everything just right. I can't wait to get this in the mail so I can send it off to it's final destination in Canada!

The Stav, My Last Dive

My very last day scuba diving in Barbados was spent with my mother, father and their scuba diving club. I had a great time meeting all the character of Barbados Badass. That day we went to a wreck dive called The Stav. It is an old Russian ship that was purposely sunk for the purpose of wreck diving. The clarity of the water that day was amazing. My photos came out with some really brilliant colors. I do believe that this was my best day shooting underwater. Practice does make perfect!

My dive buddy for the day, descending to the wreck.

Turtle! You can see his/her identification tag on the left front fin.

I loved how this little bit of coral was growing on the rope.

Scuba Day 3

On my third day of diving I finished up my Advanced Open Water Diving course. I got some really good pictures of my instructor G on our last dive together. I can't wait to get back to Barbados and dive with my friends from Dive Barbados Blue again!

Some people have really odd swimming styles.

This made me think of a little underwater village.

Scuba Day 2

Here are some photos from my second day of scuba diving in Barbados. I know I still have a lot to learn about underwater photography but I was really happy to get a chance to try it out. Now I know for next time what I need to improve on! I hope my next time isn't too far away .....

Forest Around Harrison's Caves

Yet another Barbados post coming your way ... hot off the press so to speak. These were taken in the forest outside of Harrison's Cave. A really beautiful place where I was lucky enough to stumble upon some really great photos. Here are my favorites!

Scuba Day One

And now its time for the scuba pictures to begin! I originally just planned to go on a few dives and try out a new camera. But when I arrived at Dive Barbados Blue it took very little to romance me into signing up for the Advanced Open Water Diver course. And just like that, my second week in Barbados turned into a scuba course filled with studying and lots of dives. My specialties are Deep Diving, Night Diving, Underwater Naturalist, Underwater Navigator, and Underwater Photographer. I had a fantastic time with my instructor G and the other characters at Dive Barbados Blue. If you are ever in the area, check them out! Any way, here are my photos from my first dive of the week! Since I'm an Underwater Naturalist I guess I should note what is in each picture ... right?

First Look At Barbados .. Underwater!

And I am back to posting! I took a bit of a break due to travel and life getting in the way but now Im back! My trip to Barbados was amazing and Im excited to show off my pictures. I decided to start off with pictures from our snorkeling experience. Seeing the turtles up close was so cool. This was my first time using an underwater camera and that was a whole different experience too.

If you liked these, then great! Cause we are just getting our toes wet. Ive got 4 more days of underwater photography and 2 weeks worth of travel photography! So buckle your seat belts and get ready to experience Barbados!
