Two New Projects

I just signed up for two new projects with the Art House Coop. They aren't due until the end of April but I've already got ideas brewing for both! Can't wait to get them both underway.

Why I Love My 50mm

Just a fantastic lens. It gives the most dreamy images. On our first fishing day I took some pictures of these cute little shells. The out come was fantastic. I just love how the photos almost look like macro shots.

And here is a shot of me, taking these shots! I'll do what it takes to get my shot ....

Fishing Day Two

Can you tell that I've had fishing on my mind? We have been going almost every chance we get, as long as the weather is cooperating. And yesterday in fact, I got my own fishing license and fishing pole and tried it out for myself! I even caught myself a little bass. It was pretty fun. Any way, here are some pictures from our second day fishing.

Fishing Part Two

As promised I have pictures of the fisher men. Ive got two of Gary (my husband) and two of our fishing buddy.

As you can see, our friend has a Cannon camera. I've taken a few pictures with it just for fun. I think it has cooled my icy feeling towards Cannon users. I know I'll always be a Nikon girl but it was fun to see how a Cannon works. I'll be showing off some of those photos soon. But I'm thinking my next post will be photos from our second day of fishing. I may even make a second post today because I've been so far behind in posting!

Fishing Day One, Part One

My husband went fishing with some buddies and I tagged along to take pictures. I had a great time poking around the lake looking for photographic opportunities. These are my favorite shots of things I found around the lake.

"The Meal"

Last week I participated in a project, from The Art House Coop, called The Meal. I submitted this photo which will appear at an exhibition in Brooklyn, New York on April 5th. I chose to photograph my favorite sandwich. Its pretty simple: spinach, cheese, mustard and mayo. Definitely my favorite!
